3/4-hihainen mekko tyttärelleni - A 3/4 sleeve dress for my daughter

Solmimishauhoina edessä on puuvillanauhat.

The first signs of autumn are here and that inspired me to sew this 3/4 sleeve dress for my older daughter. However, the fabrics I used are very summery. I used thin butterfly printed tricot and yellow college fabric. For tying I used cotton ribbon.

The sleeves are puff sleeves but I guess I should've ruffled  that light and thin fabric more as the puffs are almost invisible.. :)  Sewing the yellow college fabric was fun and I'm especially proud of the neckline as it succeeded at the first try. The hem - as you can probably guess - is a ruffled rectangle.

It is nice to notice that my 2,5-year old daughter starts to be interested in how the clothes look on her. She often wants to go to see in the mirror but luckily she's never unhappy with the clothes she has on. :)
